Job Description


Performs a variety of working level technical duties in providing Print/Copy/Distribution services to URS departments, including office supplies, forms, printing, mail service, and capital equipment.



  1. Performs a variety of general office services such as mail delivery and collection, operation of mail processing equipment, and inventory control.
  2. Assures timely mailing of all outgoing statements including checks, EFT’s, annual defined benefit statements, EOB’s, and all other materials
  3. Receives and processes incoming cash. Totals and balances cash and distributes to appropriate personnel and departments. Reconciles cash to transmittal documents. Assures that strict procedures are followed when handling all incoming funds.
  4. Ensures timely delivery of forms to various units.
  5. Receives and verifies accuracy of shipments.
  6. Assists with the general upkeep of all mail processing equipment including cleaning, replacing consumables, and placing service calls.
  7. Helps establish and implement workflow for the mailroom.
  8. Assists with inventory of envelopes to allow all projects to be completed in a timely manner. Assists with training of Print/Distribution Services Technicians. Assists with moving office furniture and equipment.
  9. Maintains strict confidentiality.
  10. Performs other related duties as required.

Required Experience

Education and Experience

High School and 6 months of working experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Must be forklift certified or able to become forklift certified within first six (6) months of employment.


Experience in performing Print/Copy/Distribution services preferred.

Required technical skills include the working knowledge and ability of:

  • Operate a variety of types of office equipment.
  • 10 key calculator operation.
  • Beginner knowledge of Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  • Copy and print equipment operation.

Required mathematical skills include working knowledge of:

  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Inventory control methods and procedures.

Must possess excellent communication skills:

  • Interpersonal communication skills.
  • Read and understand written policy, regulations, and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, department heads, and co‑workers.
  • Draft e-mails to various department representatives, regarding mailing projects, and supply requests on a routine basis.
  • Read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Work Environment

Incumbent performs in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls. Tasks require activities related to walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and seeing. Common eye, hand, finger dexterity required to perform essential functions. Duties require work in a noisy environment around dust and chemicals. Requires moderate lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 75 lbs.


Position requires occasional travel for office business. Individual must be physically capable of safely operating a vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record based upon data provided by a current Department of Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
